At Chief Nation, we bring together talent across marketing, data, creative, and – of course – events under one roof.
In this series, we’re introducing you to the people that make your campaigns shine. We’d like you to meet Nicole Maragh Head of Events and avid lover of Hawaiian pizza…

Nicole Maragh, BIG Will Smith fan
You’re Head of Events here at Chief Nation. Could you tell us what this means for you and your team?
I support the CWO team and make sure they can deliver compelling and successful events. As a team, we ensure we’re super organised and strong multi-taskers and supportive of each other.
Walk us through your average day.
I’m an early riser! I try to get a gym class in the morning before work most days. Then I get to work around 9am where I check through emails ahead of a mixture of internal and external meetings.
Sometimes I attend one of our famed Chief Wine Officer events in the evening, which makes for a long working day! But if there isn’t an event on, I’ll head home to relax before doing it all over again.
Curveball: favourite movie and why?
Hitch! I love a good rom-com and Will Smith makes me laugh.
What is the most challenging thing about your job?
Juggling so many different tasks, with a team of 6 and up to 13 event campaigns running concurrently, is the most challenging thing about my job. I find an old fashioned daily to-do list is most helpful!
And the most rewarding part?
Being onsite at a well attended event, seeing happy clients, guests, and our event manager proud of their achievement of putting it all together!
Wouldn’t say no to a Hawaiian pizza…

What’s your guiltiest pleasure?
Cadbury’s Creme Eggs and Galaxy chocolate bars
Do you have any hobbies? How do you unwind at the weekend?
I enjoys spending time with family and friends, normally involving food and drinks!
I also enjoy travelling and visiting new places. I especially enjoy walking, and I’m currently training for the Three Peaks Challenge which I’ll be attempting this summer. Currently I’m trying to get out for at least a 10 mile walk when we have sunny weekends. But I’m doing it to raise money for a good friend called Ollie, a cheeky 3 year old battling a rare form of children’s cancer. You can read more and support us here.
Pineapple on pizza: yes or no?
YES!
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
It’s easy to get stressed when working in events and my former manager would tell me, “It’s PR, not ER.” That thought always help bring the stress levels down a little!
What’s been your biggest accomplishment at Chief Nation?
I have two! Passing my probation and managing to work a full day after the Xmas party!
In all seriousness, my biggest accomplishment is just that I’ve settled in well with the help of really welcoming colleagues and even though it’s only been 3 months, it feels longer… In a good way!
Finally, what’s your favourite drink?
My favourite soft drink is fizzy Vimto, but I’m sure you mean alcoholic drink so… Pimms!
