Today, we’re introducing you to Darcie Thompson-Fields, Head of Content & Digital, and one of the people behind our stellar marketing and events campaigns.

Connecting our clients with their target accounts takes a lot of skill and a range of talents. But we’re only able to make it all happen thanks to our fantastic team of professionals spanning events, data, creative and digital marketing at Chief Nation.

Here’s more from the champion of sauvignon blanc herself…

head of content & digital

Darcie: 25% human, 75% sauvignon blanc

You’re the Head of Digital & Content here at Chief Nation. Could you tell us what this means for you and your team?

As head of content & digital, I head up our team of talented digital campaign managers and content writers. It’s my job to enable them in delivering for our clients, assisting on campaign strategy and onboarding new clients.

Walk us through your average day.

My friends outside of the industry say I do ‘meetings and emails’ and they’re not wrong.

A lot of my time is spent coordinating between teams and with our clients. We act as a partner to our clients’ marketing teams, so alignment and communication is integral. I also enjoy being creative and having a holistic view of our campaign strategies.

Curveball: favourite movie and why?

Ugh an impossible question. But the film I watch most is Sense and Sensibility.

What is the most challenging thing about your job?

Switching off and not worrying outside of work.

And the most rewarding part?

When we build lasting relationships with our clients and become an extension of their team.

Our very own in-house singstar

If you were a wine, what would you be?

I’m pretty sure I’m already made up of 75% sauvignon blanc.

Do you have any hobbies? How do you unwind at the weekend?

As my poor colleagues will be well aware, I like to sing, choir, karaoke, at my desk…

Pineapple on pizza: yes or no?

Yes.

Do you have any irrational fears?

Moths, because they’re the worst. They fly right by your face and eat all of your clothes, and they’re just terrible.

What’s been your biggest accomplishment at Chief Nation?

Helping to shape and develop our digital offering and working with a truly wonderful team.

Finally, what’s your favourite drink?

Other than wine? Water!
